Shelly Garlock Hamilton is the wife of the now deceased Ron Hamilton. Together, Ron and Shelly managed the sacred music publishing company, Majesty Music, Inc. After losing his left eye to cancer, Ron became known to children around the globe as Patch the Pirate. For forty years, he and Shelly produced audio adventures of stories and songs--Ron as writer and Shelly as arranger. In 2010, Ron started showing early signs of dementia and was eventually diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia (FTD).

For thirteen years, Shelly tenderly cared for her belived husband. It was not an easy road, but it was one she is deeply grateful she was given to walk.
